Carmel Dennis has over 30 years tourism development and marketing experience. She specialises in Destination Development with a particular interest in Visitor Services.  She has been the retained tourism consultant for the City of London for over 10 years and still works regularly with VisitEngland and VisitBritain. For 5 years, Carmel managed the UK’s Business Visits and Events Partnership.  

 

She has worked in Uganda (assisting the Ugandan Coffee Development Association in developing tourism experiences at coffee farms), in Ethiopia on a comprehensive analysis and plan for Simien Mountains NP and on community tourism projects in The Gambia, South Africa, Belize and Peru. She completed a feasibility study for tourism to St. Helena Island and

 

She has been an expert trainer for UNWTO capacity building workshops for destination managers and has extensive experience of stakeholder engagement and workshop facilitation at all levels of the industry.
