ZIMBABWE TOURISM TO SCREEN EXCLUSIVE PREMIERE OF DISNEY'S LION KING
In London, on 19th July 2019, Disney releases their new CGI live action version of 'The Lion King', with ZIMTO (Zimbabwe Tourism Organisation) screening an exclusive premiere in the iconic Odeon Cinema, Leicester Square. Coordinated by Kamageo, the screening will give 150 people the first opportunity to see the movie. As Tim Henshall explained "Zimbabwe's return to prominence echoes the storyline of "Lion King", and at the same time one of Cecil’s descendants is now creating a pride of his own, too. THE KING HAS RETURNED - ZIMBABWE'S NEW UK CAMPAIGN
Kamageo is set to launch a major new marketing initiative to promote tourism to Zimbabwe from the UK. We will implement a UK campaign funded by members of the newly created Zimbabwe Tourism Organisation [ZIMTO) made up predominantly by the private sector, but crucially also ZTA. The campaign will include PR, trade marketing and consumer engagement. The new campaign “The King has Returned”, plays on the fact that Zimbabwe has always been a premier safari destination, so after years of turmoil in the country, it is back to claim its throne. The rallying cry, used by Kamageo to get backing for the campaign is “Now is the time for the lion to roar”, with the private sector rising to the opportunity in typically patriotic fashion.
