Kamili set for 2020 re-boot.

Arguably the industry's most talked about lodge representation agency has been completely re-vamped to respond to market needs and will re-launch in January 2020.

Originally created by Tim Henshall back in 2006, Kamili soon establish a great reputation for promoting a wide range of mid-range quality independently-owned properties across Africa, with the company's rep.  Over time that portfolio increased to more than forty lodges as the market improved and word spread of Kamili's successes.

Kamili also led the way by being the first  to represent lodges, as well as DMC's s in emerging destinations such as Ethiopia, Uganda, Rwanda, Madagascar and the Congo. Working in these less visited locations led to the formation of Kamageo, Kamili’s sister agency, which successfully promotes African destinations (which now include Uganda, Mauritius, Zambia and Sierra Leone).

For the past 5 years, Kamili’s portfolio has slowly dwindled, due to the growth of Kamageo, but with renewed enquiries from lodge owners, a new Kamili is set to emerge. Kamili will now offer a highly focused representation, marketing and PR service with experienced marketers working on a maximum of 4 accounts (and potential less if the account requires it).

As Chief Executive, Tim Henshall explains, “Back then, Kamili was a very small team but now there are 16 staff across the business. Kamili can now offer front-end support backed up by a team of specialists in trade, design, digital marketing, PR and promotions, all under one roof. Initially, Kamili helped Kamageo to grow…now it's the other way around”.

Existing clients include Mbali Mbali (Tanzania), Zanzibar Collection, Tongole Wilderness Retreat (Malawi) and Muchenje Safari Lodge (Botswana).
