KAMAGEO PUBLISHES SIMIEN MOUNTAINS NP PLAN FOR AWF
Kamageo was selected by African Wildlife Foundation (AWF) to provide a major development plan for Ethiopia’s Simien Mountains National Park.
Following a comprehensive on-site study, Kamageo provided an assessment of the entire tourism infrastructure, including accommodation, activities, park facilities, amenities, access and communications.
The Park has become increasingly popular with international tourists, due to its rare and/or endemic flora and fauna (including Gelada Baboons, Ibex, Ethiopian Wolves and Lammergeier vultures) stunning mountain scenery and some fabulous walking and hiking trails.
Tim Henshall at Kamageo explained, “It’s a real privilege and honour to have worked with AWF, especially in a park that has delivered so many outstanding experiences to me in the past".
The final report has been passed to AWF for implementation and will be published later this summer.
