How Sierra Leone Became Africa’s Newest Tourism Destination

Following a visit by Dr. Jane Goodall in February, Sierra Leone has declared its tourism industry reborn with a slew of exciting announcements including visa-on-arrival, chimpanzees as the national species, and major advancements in wildlife and conservation legislation.

In November, Sierra Leone will host a celebrity event in London's Leicester Square, where a UK premier of film-maker / journalist Michaela Guzy's new documentary will be screened. More details will follow.

If you've never been to this African nation or want to learn more, join this interactive conversation and see the documentary with  Michaela Guzy and Hon. Minister of Tourism and Cultural Affairs for Sierra Leone, Dr. Memunatu Pratt.

The film footage showcases this beautiful country and its inspiring local people. It documents a local fashion designer, a chef breaking new ground, the sustainable entrepreneurship movement, and a chimpanzee sanctuary inspired by Jane Goodall years ago.
