Orphaned baby elephant rescued by Proflight in Zambia

An orphaned baby elephant has been rescued in Zambia by Proflight Zambia, Game Rangers International and the Department of National Parks and Wildlife.

The one-year-old elephant named Olimba Mtima (meaning strong heart), was transported from Mfuwe to Lusaka to start her new life at the Lilayi Elephant Nursery, which is currently being featured in Netflix's latest Christmas original, Holiday in the Wild, starring Kristin Davis and Rob Lowe.

She was even given her own boarding pass and was loaded into the rear cargo hold of Proflight's 56-seat Dash aircraft - joining 40 tourists on board for the flight.
