Marketing Coordinator / Kampala, Uganda based

We're looking for a brilliant individual to help us deliver great results for an incredible destination - Uganda. Based in Kampala, you'll be the link between our team in the UK and all stakeholders in Uganda. At Kamageo, we're passionate about Uganda, so you'll need to be equally passionate, too.

Job Role & Responsibilities​

• Liaise between Kamageo’s UK HQ and Uganda Tourism Board (UTB) to ensure all information is passed in an accurate and timely fashion to relevant audiences in Uganda.

• Assist UTB as and where assistance will help in the smooth implementation of Kamageo marketing plans

• Ensure quarterly reports and relevant invoices are passed to authorising bodies on time, ensuring their timely payment

• Coordinate all media and trade fams trips, liasing with UTB, UWA and relevant private sector DMCs and hoteliers

• Keep all stakeholders (including the private sector) updated on planned marketing activities in the UK

• Provide UK team with news regarding new / improved attractions, properties and activities

 

Required Skills & Experiences

• Creative, dynamic, enthusiastic, proactive and committed.

• Comprehensive knowledge of Uganda's key tourism  suppliers - DMCs, hoteliers and service providers

• Comprehensive knowledge of Uganda’s tourism attractions, locations, roads, flight routes and journey times

• Good knowledge Uganda’s tourism suppliers and accommodations.

• Ability to build strong, trustworthy relationships within UTB, UWA, AUTO, UHOA and other private sector.

• Ability to confidently present and influence professional audiences

• Driving license and access to own transport

• Ability to work with minimal supervision

• Minimum : educated to College level; Ideally : Graduate level

• Minimum 3 years working experience; Ideally : Within a tourism role.
